Pennsylvania Convention Center Employee Receives ESPA’s Highest Honor
Dominique Bonds Recognized with the President’s Award
Philadelphia, PA—On January 29th, the Pennsylvania Convention Center announced that Dominique Bonds, Guest Experience Director for ASM Global, was awarded the ESPA’s President’s Award. Bonds was presented the award at ESPA’s Annual Conference in Denver, Colorado earlier this month. She was recognized by current ESPA President Jamie Huckleberry for her efforts in leading the continuing education program this year.
“Dominque Bonds has done a tremendous job this year as chair of the Continuing Education Committee. She was instrumental in shepherding this program forward as a solo practitioner--this is usually a committee run by two members,” said ESPA President Jamie Huckleberry. “The committee under the guidance of Dominique has provided ESPA with very insightful and thought-provoking webinars as proven by the number of registrations for each session. I chose Dominique for the President’s Award because she was faced with the challenges of running this committee alone and she did not falter. She got the job done!”
EPSA, Event Service Professionals Association, is dedicated to elevating the event and convention service profession and to preparing members, through education and networking, for their pivotal role in innovative and successful event execution, and Bonds has served as the co-chair of the Continuing Education committee for the past three years.
“I am honored to be recognized by Jamie Huckleberry, a colleague I truly respect and admire,” said Bonds. “I have been a member of ESPA for 10 years, and I remain committed and energized by an organization that understands the value of and supports the continuing education of the hospitality industry’s services teams.”
Bonds has been a member of the Pennsylvania Convention Center team since 1998. She currently oversees the Guest Experience department, facilitates numerous trainings on site with front line staff, and manages the customer feedback program for the Center. Previously, Bonds has been recognized as Employee of the Year and a recipient of the Amanda L. Coleman Award for Service. Bonds’ career has flourished here the Center and has been a standout representative for the City and the industry she is so passionate about.
“We are extremely proud to work with a team member like Dominique. She elevates the experience at the Center every day, and we are glad to see the industry recognizing her efforts as well,” said Kelvin D. Moore, ASM Global Regional General Manager. “She is truly exceptional.”
